Wed, Feb 17th Conference Call, RE: Forest Service Paid Summer Jobs

Last year the Forest Services (FS) was able to hire over 150 Pathways NTE student interns throughout California. As in the past, all students are encouraged to apply including the following majors: biology, business/public administration, recreation, environmental science, etc. The application will be on USAjobs.gov and will be open from Monday, February 29th through Friday, March 4th. Students will only have that week to apply. Many job locations will include housing.

In order to better understand the internships, application process, and to answer any questions you all may have, we invite you to the upcoming conference call with the FS on Wednesday, February 17th from 2-3pm.

To qualify for Pathways NTE positions, students must meet the following:
o   At least a 2.0 GPA
o   Be currently enrolled in a minimum of 6 units at an accredited institution
o   Pursuing a degree in a related academic field
o   Must be eligible to work in the U.S. to be hired (If not a citizen, must become a U.S. Citizen to convert to a permanent employee).
